So the stupid people continue to come out of the woodwork.  Obviously they didn't see the previous news article where a man was shot dead trying to break into someones home.  Props to the homeowner for defending their home and taking advantage of their constitutional right.  Castle doctrine is supported in the state of NC and has recently been modified to include your automobile!  Two more scum bags off the street.

Official: Zimmerman To Be Charged In Trayvon Martin Shooting

This is such a double edged sword situation.  And for a heads up, my comments do not mean that I stand firmly on one side or the other.  I think there is a lot more to come on this case.  My comments are just my thoughts based on what I've read and how I am processing the situation thus far.

I understand Martin was unarmed but at the same time, how was Zimmerman to really know that?  It seems that it could be comparable to a person breaking into a home and the owner being allowed, by law, to protect his home by use of deadly force and is not required to ask questions before they defend themselves, their kids and anyone else in their home.  Just because Martin was unarmed and just because he happened to be a young African American boy really does not mean that it was a "racial" attack...or "racial profiling" (which seems to be only referred to when it's an person of African American race) OR because he just so happened to be wearing a hoodie which are one of the most popular types of warm up jackets across all races...especially in teenagers.  That's the only kind of jacket my kids wear.  How do we know that the accusations of Martin attacking Zimmerman aren't real?  I know that we do.  Most of us really do not know enough about both sides and the legalities to comment intelligently.

I challenge all of those who have formed an opinion, especially if they are only watching what comes up on local news stations, to read and learn more from the local resources around where the case is based.  They are usually more dependable.  I also challenge you NOT to allow personal feelings due to race, age, clothing or any other emotional outbursts you hear to make a determination as to what you believe.  Learn the case from BOTH sides and form your determination based on educated information.  There isn't another thing I can't stand more than people who decide and voice their opinions based on what they hear from their surrounding society.

I still haven't chosen a side and I'm interested in seeing what the charges are going to be and will keep my eye on this case to see how it pans out.
